Gingras Family – Royal Roads Family Potraits

I recently had the  opportunity to photograph a miracle. When Jonathan was born, he was not expected to survive the day. He was baptized and given last rights moments after his birth. He showed the experts what a fighter he is. Jonathan is now 7 years old. And while his life has not been without its challenges, which have included more than 30 surgeries, he is a happy, outgoing boy who is an absolute joy to be around. The day we met was the first time he was to take Holy Communion. His mom wanted to mark the special day with a family portrait session in the gardens at Royal Roads. 

Jonathan’s dad is a Navy man, and his siblings, Michael and Rosalie are in cadets. I loved the uniforms; they look great and tell part of  the family story. Looking good in uniform. Handsome Michael. Charming Rosalie. Jonathan, it was an honour to meet you. Keep smiling and keep fighting.
